| In 1989 we began as a gallery supporting new art and in 2000 we started with three guest rooms, allowing the artists exhibiting their work accomodiation if they choose to stay. As mitArt grew it continued to flourish into a small family run hotel with rooms showing contempory art to our guests. As well as providing a comfortable nights sleep en suite facilities where provided. |
| We are the first Bio-Pension in Berlin and the only hotel to recieve the Viabono certificate, which guarantees high quality and professional service to the public. |
| The aim of our idea was to provide an ambient surround so that our guests could enjoy the art and culture. |
| The Gallery and Pension in April 2005 moved from the grand old surrounds of Friedrichstrasse to it’s new home on Linienstrasse. The hotel now benefits as it’s new location is historically set in the heart of Berln-Mitte. The now fully restored building was once home to the National Printing Press for Military propaganda. |
